Hello everyone!
I want to thank you for the wealth of feedback we’re receiving from the survey about the problems you’re trying to solve with FacileThings.
We already have a significant amount of data, and we’re analyzing it (with the help of AI, due to its volume) to understand the issues you’re concerned about and build the best possible solution.
We’ll go into more detail later, but at a very general level, what you appreciate most about FacileThings is its authentic implementation of the GTD method (although some would like more flexibility in some areas), and where you find the most friction is in the usability of the mobile app, a somewhat overloaded web interface, and some processes requiring too many clicks.
The main conclusion from the analyzed data (according to Claude) is that we should keep the GTD foundation as it is and drastically improve the speed, simplicity, and visual appeal of the application.
The new app we’re building has precisely that goal in mind, and we’ll be developing it in constant contact with you to find out exactly what those pain points are and resolve them.
I’m introducing a new feature this app will have: the command search tool. This will allow you to navigate to any section of the app or any data using the keyboard, without having to follow the sequence: menu → option → sub-option → data:
This is the current status of the project:
These past few weeks, we’ve been working on technical aspects of authentication and the design of the lists section. This is the most important part of the application. Once it’s resolved, I think we’ll move forward more quickly.
That’s all for now!

So pleased to hear that the survey was used and provides clear direction! Based on what you summarized, it appears that many participants share my perspective.
The new command search sounds interesting, and I hope it will be available to beta users when the new application becomes available.
Will a keyboard shortcut be possible to allow for easy recording of thoughts in the application's Inbox?
Slow but meaningful progress on the new app development front. Based on your report, it appears that the latest improvements are currently limited to the areas of Authorization and Lists.
I noticed this morning that Reports or Metrics are not listed as part of the new application features. Are these a subset of what is already listed or not included in the initial release?

Hi Cyrus,
The new app will app a lot of keyboard shortcuts. For accessibility reasons, we'll try to cover most options using the keyboard.
Yes, the list of features I'm showing contains only the features I believe should be available for the beta release. Of course, the rest of current features will be in the final release. Right now, we're focused on the "beta" milestone, but the project is much bigger ;)
As always, I appreciate your input.

Changes to the app would be welcome. But I'm not sure how much I would use the app even then. Even when I used products that were flashier with more nimble apps, I didn't use the app except for capture. Categorizing and checking things off are still beginning and end of day things, at my computer.
FT fills a gap that no one else does. It is brilliantly implemented. You have my loyalty.

Hi Don,
Yes, the same thing happens to me. Those who work all day in front of the computer only need the mobile app to be able to capture something at certain times and check pending actions when they're out and about. But there are many people who spend a good part of their day without access to a computer, and the new app will help them complete more processes more quickly when they need to.
Thank you so much for your support! :)
