A Results Only Work Environment is a human resource management strategy in which employees are remunerated depending on their results instead of the hours they have worked.

Long time ago I wrote a short introduction about using the Pomodoro Technique since it’s a technique that I use many times when I need to focus on the task at hand and make the most out of my time. Later on I wrote a more detailed article about this technique and two others deepening on two of its main goals: eliminating interruptions and better time estimates.

In order to be productive throughout the day it’s not enough to have a personal organization system functioning perfectly. You need to have the capacity to paying attention so you can properly focus on every task and, on top of that, the energy to face them. If you’re not capable of managing these parameters it could take you two hours to do something that normally would take you one hour. Your efficiency may be dramatically reduced.

WYSIATI is the acronym for de What you see is all there is, a cognitive bias described by Daniel Kahneman in his book Thinking, fast and slow, which explains how irrational we are when making decisions and how little it matters to us.
